Coming from an artistic family, I have enjoyed and appreciated art since the day I was born, and spent many hours in museums in Canada, Europe and across this beautiful country. I was always amazed by the artists’ ability to share their emotions through colors and techniques which awaken my desire to paint. I finally took the big step when, a few years ago, my husband surprised me with an oil painting kit for Christmas. From that moment on I cherished every minute I could steal from my busy schedule to explore oil painting, while taking regular classes to improve my work. I am now retired and enjoy the time spent in my studio creating paintings for clients, or showing my work at Ollie’s Cafe.
About my work
Oil is my medium and I paint mostly sceneries or whatever touches me. Sometimes I will let my imagination go wild and paint contemporary pieces which are fun to do. I also do watercolor greeting cards that are individually painted, which make their free flow patterns quite unique. They can be used for greetings or be framed for display.
