New Museum Grand Opening
201 N Main St, Rolesville, NC
February Meeting – Thank you to Linda Burrell of Sunflower Studio for offering the use of her space. We are working to schedule a time in February that we can start painting some ceiling tiles for Healing Ceilings. It will be great to start a project like this as a group. 🙂
Renaissance Centre rotating exhibit – We will be displaying work in the hallways of the Art Annex. Because of construction starting at the New Year, we are not sure when we will begin. Rotation will be every 2 months. Artists responsible for bringing/picking up art at specified times. Would like 2 artists per show to volunteer to assist with hanging work. Exhibitions will be themes. We will have more information at the January meeting.
The First WFGA Artist Showcase held at the Renaissance Centre Arts Annex was a great success. Thanks to the Renaissance Center for such a wonderful experience. They provided a professional hanging system in the rooms used in addition to the grids and chairs.
Many people attended the event. It was such a pleasure to have the artists there to talk with the attendees as well as to have the opportunity to socialize with each other.
Many people indicated that they would love to see this become an annual event as well as see other such events throughout the year.
Download the document with the information needed to apply and participate in the first annual artist showcase.
