Please see the following message from guild member Micah Mullen:

Dear Wake Forest Artists:

You might of heard on the news of the High School football player from Rolesville who collapsed last Friday before the game and subsequently died. What is being less covered is the boy was also an artist who planned to go to art school after high school. Leo Barthelmess is both a coach and art teacher at Rolesville HS. He is organizing an art show in tribute to Isaiah Langston. Anything we can do to participate or just spread word about the show would be great. My kids go to the Rolesville schools and are involved with the football program, so Isaiah’s untimely death hit me hard as well. I will correspond with Leo and see how this develops, but wanted to let you know of this news. Below is the announcement he posted on his Facebook page.

The Red Gallery will be hosting an area art show of both professional and amateur work to support and show honor of our friend and fellow artist Isaiah Langston. We are looking for original art of famous and original superheroes, comic pages etc. Proceeds will go towards a creation of a scholarship in Isaiah’s name and to help his family with any expenses.

If you are not an artist or this is totally not your style but know people that would fit this show PLEASE SEND THEM THE INFORMATION!

Work is due by Monday the 27th. All work will need to be ready to be displayed (framed etc..) . For more information please go to redgallerystudio.weebly.com

Another invite will come out inviting everyone to the show which will start November 1st.

Please contact me Leo Barthelmess at lbarthelmess@wcpss.net or 520.591.4636 if you have any questions.
